The Blogging Interview with the Domesticated Goddess

interview

I was tagged by one of my favorite ladies, Trista, from Domesticated Momster in a post about getting to know more about blogging. I always love reading these types of posts because it helps you to get to know your fellow bloggers better and it can be such a great community it’s always fun hearing what everyone has to say. So thank you Trista, I am honored as always anytime someone takes the time to mention me and my blog.

So here goes with the interview….queue music please…..

How did you get into blogging?

Well I had done some blogging about 6 years ago, it was just a family blog though more to keep up with friends and family and it helped me through a very hard time in my life. Then I just got to busy with work to keep up with it. Now being a Domesticated Goddess I decided it was something I wanted to again but this time see it would go anywhere. Right now its just a hobby I have no intentions to make money or anything like that. Just really enjoying growing this blog and all the great people I’ve met.

What advice would you give to another blogger starting out?

Well being still pretty new to this, it’s hard for that one. However, I would say decide how serious you are going to be with blogging. If it’s more just a hobby like me you may want to start with a hosted site like WordPress. Also picture quality is a must, that is one thing I am learning is that you need great photos to draw people in.

How has your blog changed since you started writing it?

I’m sure my blog will continue to evolve as I get more seasoned at this but I feel I am not as cautious anymore about what I say and write. I want to stay to true to myself and blog about what I enjoy and not care if anyone else likes it or not. I also am not afraid to reach out to my fellow bloggers for advice and help, they can be your greatest asset.

What would be your dream campaign?

Hmmm, not sure on this one yet. I am still trying to grow my brand and decide how I want my blog to be.

What advice would you give to PR’s wanting to approach you for a campaign?

I am happy to do product reviews as I always love trying new things, however I will not advertise or review a product if I have not been able to try it. I do not lie or fake things, I want people to love my blog for my honesty.

Do you have a plan for you blog?

Right now I am just enjoying growing my reading base and meeting fellow bloggers. I just want to continue to blog about things I want to blog about and hope that people want to read it.

What do you think about rankings?

At first I let them get to me, and would look at them and wonder what I was doing wrong. Now I just don’t put much stock in them and things are going just fine and my following continues to grow.

Thanks for reading my interview and continuing to show my blog love and support. I’m so grateful to everyone for their support. Now to pass along some blog love by nominating the following bloggers, if you are not tagged and want to join in please feel free to do so.

Life Kids and a Glass of Red
Stephy Sweet Bakes
Bumbi’s Mom

Can’t wait to read your interviews, thanks again.
